It was jointly launched by a number of renowned colour artists and colour scientists in the global colour industry to explore new approaches to colour education as a multidisciplinary system linking science, art and design, industry, technology and culture. Build a platform for global color education in the 21st century.

The Colour&Image Institute of Tsinghua University's Art and Science Research Center, founded in 2010, is the first research institute in China to combine the art, design and scientific application of color. Based on the theory of color science, the Institute of Color Research at Tsinghua University serves teaching and continuing education. With a strong team of experts and international resources, the Institute conducts a variety of forward-looking color and image technology research, providing related industries with services ranging from color design and management to color communication and image science application.

Ms. Qiu Lixin introduced the Color Research Institute of Tsinghua University from the aspects of education and training, research and application, and shared the research and application cases of cooperation with many enterprises.

The color education in the colleges of science and technology of China is characterized by industrial application. Ms. Zhu introduced three major industry directions of color education in colleges and universities of science and technology. One is related to optical or color science, the other is related to dyeing and finishing technology of textile industry, and the direction of printing and packaging industry. The teaching content of this field takes colorimetry as the core, including colorimetry, color appearance model, color measurement, color management, printing color science, dyeing and finishing technology, etc.

Chinese art design colleges and universities are characterized by aesthetic cultivation. Dr. Lin Jiawei introduced the characteristics of color education in Chinese art and design colleges and universities, such as focusing on cultivating students' subjective aesthetics, and emphatically introduced the color education system of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, and the teaching and experimental teaching of the Institute of Color of Tsinghua University.
