2021-12-18 “Research on Application of Color Art and Science Based on Design Subject” Kick-off Meeting

 

Recently, the Liberal Arts Construction Project of Tsinghua University， "Research on Application of Color Art and Science Based on Design Subject" jointly undertaken by Professor Song Limin of the Academy of fine arts of Tsinghua University and TASCII was officially launched. Song Wenwen, the principal of the project, said that the project aims to build a bridge between color art, design and color science application, and give design empirical methodology on this basis, truly build and improve the education and design methods of color art and science integration, and integrate them into the international color education system. Based on the accumulated research experience and with the joint efforts of Zhu Shiyang, Qiu Lixin and other teachers, the team of TASCII will promote the project from both academic and practical aspects. At the beginning of the project, the members of the project expert advisory group, which was jointly established by domestic and foreign experts and scholars from design, art, psychology, image science, industrial application, etc., discussed their contributions to color art, design and color science application, empirical methodology, etc. through online meetings, and built the wisdom base of the Advisory Group for the research project from the academic to industrial circles.

 

The "Research on Application of Color Art and Science Based on Design Subject" project lasts for three years. With the assistance of expert consultants in various fields, it will not only systematically sort out the education system of color art, design and scientific application, but also truly transform knowledge into the driving force of industrial progress with the cooperation of experienced experts in the industry. At the same time, with the deepening of the research project, more professionals will be invited to contribute to the construction of color art and science.
