Dr Alessandro Rizzi

Dr Alessandro Rizzi was graduated in Computer Science at University of Milano and a PhD in Information Engineering at University of Brescia (Italy). He is currently an Associate Professor and senior research fellow at the Department of Information and Communication (DICo) at University of Milano. Since 1990 he is researching in the field of color, digital imaging and vision. His main research topic is the use of color information in digital images with particular attention to color perception mechanisms.

He is in the program committee of several conferences regarding color and digital imaging and author of more than 200 papers. He is the lead participant representative for Italy in the CREATE project (Colour Research for European Advanced Technology Employment, 2007-2010). And he was the head of university group in the national research grant COFIN 2007; a member of the Programme Committee at the International Workshop on Color and Reflectance in Imaging and Computer Vision (CRICV 2010), and member of the programme committee, of CGIV2010/MCS’10 the Fifth European Conference on Colour in Graphics, Imaging, and Vision.
